Blackhorse Lane

This intriguing project creates a new, bespoke infill house to replace existing garages at the back of a suburban terraced home.  The site is incredibly tight, with the house needing to be subservient to the existing houses either side.

A ground floor kitchen/dining space spills out into a courtyard, carved from the back garden of the existing house, with steps up to a raised living room with an apex rooflight.  The large picture window of this living room has wide sweeping views, while the first floor bedroom has a view looking along the length of Teevan Road.

The architecture for the project was drawn out of the existing use as garages, with a simple brick wall at ground floor propping up a reflective shed-like corrugated cladding above.

This will be a challenging project to deliver, but we are excited to see it progress.
